These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ByeType application and website (byetype.com) operated by ByeType ("we," "our," or "us"). By using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using ByeType, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

2. Service Description

ByeType is an iOS keyboard application that provides voice-to-text transcription with AI-powered text formatting. The service includes:

• On-device voice transcription via WhisperKit
• Cloud-based voice transcription via third-party providers
• AI text cleanup, formatting, and reasoning capabilities
• Custom dictionary for domain-specific terms
• Multi-language support

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use ByeType in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Not use the service to generate harmful, illegal, or abusive content
• Provide your own API keys for cloud transcription and AI services
• Keep your API keys secure and confidential
• Not reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application

4. Third-Party Services

ByeType integrates with third-party AI and transcription services. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of third-party services.

5. Intellectual Property

The ByeType application, including its code, design, and branding, is owned by ByeType and protected by intellectual property laws. Your transcriptions and text output belong to you.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

ByeType is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• Transcriptions will be 100% accurate
• AI formatting will always produce desired results
• The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Third-party services will remain available

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ByeType shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

You may stop using ByeType at any time by uninstalling the application and removing the keyboard. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to our services for violations of these Terms.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of ByeType after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify users of material changes through the app or website.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China), without regard to conflict of law provisions.
